I played this game non-stop until I finished it. It was fun, challenging, and perfect for mobile play. No free-to-play garbage! Only bad thing is that it ended. Make another one!

Was hoping for something similar to the classic Puzzle Quest. This doesnt even come close. Gameplay is far less interesting and battles are a total grind fest of going back to them over and over until youve finally leveled up enough to even have a prayer of being successful. Would not recommend.

Yea it can be difficult at certain parts but thats kinda the fun of it to me. Some reviewers say its a grind and Id agree buts its also the point. With bejeweled I grind with no purpose (although I really havent played that game much). But this game is extremely fun. Been on this non-stop for about 3 weeks or so. Im not sure i can get specific but I feel there is even more that could be done with this genre.

The game is fun at first then you lose interest and just keep playing for awhile. Like others said its not balanced well. That includes battles, upgrades and loot. Then it gets very difficult and just comes down to luck most of the time. Lastly, they have some strange story dialog and the plot is pretty random.

Is that Iet this sit in my wish list for long. No in app purchases makes this a real gem of a find for me!!! Gameplay is strategic and challenging, even on casual mode.

Ive had this game for months and still love it. The difficulty curve is insane, making it a much more satisfying experience when you finally beat a hard battle. Definitely worth the money.

I spent over 30 hours in this game, much more than many so-called AAA games for consoles. The game is very similar to Puzzle Quest, but more straightforward. There were two or three places where I had to grind a little bit to afford upgrades necessary to defeat the next levels, but I did not find it a big drawback. One fun thing is that the English localization is kind off -- will remind you of the poorly translated games from your days of youth. In all, I highly recommend this game.

There is a lot of promise in this game, but the bad, unskippable dialog and the poorly thought out mechanics (for example, the chain debuff essentially makes you lose a turn while an enemy attacks every other turn) make the game the bad kind of frustrating.

Devs have done quite well with this one. Think Final Fantasy-esque meets Bejeweled. EDIT: It has become a chore due to difficulty spikes that require a lot of senseless grinding to get the resources one needs to progress. The payouts for battles against common foes are small, but the sums required for equipment upgrades at village shops are quite large. What initially felt like a great experience has become an exercise in frustration. One grows weary of repeating the same boss battles in hopes of getting better odds simply because the alternative is to spend 30-45 minutes (or more) grinding against common foes. 5-star review downgraded to 2 stars, as I cannot recommend the title at this point. This from a Final Fantasy enthusiast who loves to grind. EDIT: I had hoped that this app had been balanced properly as of the latest build; however, Im having largely the same experience. Ive added a star simply because the devs acknowledged the balance problems in their latest patch notes.

Good concept and fun puzzle game, BUT the difficulty is unbalanced to the point that following the story will waste your time. On the other side you will waste your time grinding for hours just to move on to the next section of the game.

This game is one of the best in the apps store. It delivers a great gameplay and story. Ive read some of the comments and I would like to say that they are not appreciating the game. THIS GAME IS ONE OF THE BEST!!! And Ill like to say an other game of this category, but with a new story. I am from here

I love the game but at later levels the enemies do so much damage to you it is insane. I get 1 hitter at full life from those minotaurs with crosses. What gives? Did you guys actually play your own game and beat those enemies???? I dont mind grinding but there is no good way to do so. The random battles give you crumbs for xp. But the story battle enemies destroy me so I get to a point where Im stuck and cant play the game. Please fix.

I seriously have spent hours just playing this game...best game ever! Get it, you wont regret it. The graphic is cute and awesome too. Update as of 8/21/2015: This game has become ridiculously hard to play...and the items are so expensive to purchase...so frustrating I just want to delete it. One hit from a small foot soldier and 80% of my life is down...wow.

I dont know why everyone is complaining about the difficulty. Yeah its tough, but it wouldnt be fun if it was easy. All JRPGs have some level of grinding and this one isnt even that bad. Go back to candy crush if you want an easy game.

I love these types of games but unfortunately theyre all freemium garbage. I really like the graphics as well, its reminiscent of a Final Fantasy game.

Haha I played like about 15 minutes and only wish to delete the app. Healing low, shields waste fast, gold income very low... As a result you lose to much. Something is mess here with difficulties. Casual is too easy and Expert tooooo expert, need some 3rd difficulty like Normal

This game is absolutely incredible. Its my favorite game of 2015 on iOS. I hope it gets a sequel.
