Best concept

This game combines the elements of a turn-based rpg and a match game. I like it a lot. They sooooooo need to make a sequel.

Good game but not really for casual players.

This is a good game. It could be a great game, but there are a few flaws that are hard to overlook. The main one is the youre often dealing with the unknown. The game doesnt give any hints, and this means youll spend time replaying dungeon levels until you get enough information through trial and error to finally pick the right skills to beat the boss. This can be quite frustrating for casual players as youll be progressing just fine, then come upon the final boss and bam, youre dead! Simply because you went into battle with the ice skill equipped and not the fire one. Theres no way to adjust your skills during a level, so youre toast and need to replay again from the beginning of that level. A second flaw is how you obtain skills and emblems. Some are only obtainable through advanced skill stealing, and this isnt hinted at anywhere in the text. You have to follow a walkthrough in order to know ahead of time, otherwise that skill or emblem is lost to your crew forever. That feels very unfair and can be brual for your team. You will also do a fair bit of grinding in this game, especially towards the end. Emblems, needed to progress to the next level to beat the boss, are sometimes only available in high cost shops, so youll need to replay older dungeons (minus the now-beaten final boss) in order to gain enough gold to purchase them. Otherwise, this is a fun and innovative approach to match-3 puzzle goodness. Kudos for no IAP, even with the grinding needed to achieve some leveling. No advertising either. Just good puzzle gaming for mid-to-advanced players. I orginally played this to level 6 emblems, whereupon I got stuck because I couldnt get a couple of the emblems due to not knowing ahead of time that I needed to use a heist spell on the boss at the right moment. I was finding it impossible to advance, and it was so frustrating that I quit. I have returned to the game after a lengthy absense and finally finished the main story. There was a lot of luck involved in the final battle, which was a bit disappointing. Im not sure Ill attempt the advanced level 10 emblems content, because those dungeons are described as brutal. Im not in this for the difficulty but the fun, and when the new content is described as soul crushingly hard its a turn-off for me. Finally, iCloud sync has never worked for me and my devices. Thats too bad as Id like to just delete this game yet keep the save game around in case I decide to come back to it later. Doesnt seem like thats going to happen!

~Almost perfect blend~

Despite the act that the story has its flaws and the characters seem to pick on the blonde haired girl--it is an entertaining mix of Bejeweled--(sadly there are so many sucky copies of it on the App Store) and leveling up/role playing elements. It actually is an excellent mix which could have been amazing... but is still excellent. Truly worth it especially if gotten at a lower price range. You can play it for minutes/hours. Generic story which lack substance and boring characters; charming art though and great concept/execution for the most part.

So good!

Alternate endings and hidden challenges/equipment makes this game very amazing! Please please update the story so it can continue!

Very Impressive!

I love the concept. Combining a match game with an RPG is a lot of fun. Please make a sequel.

Good but Unforgiving

Casual gamers need not apply. I miss the days when there was a place in gaming for those who were more than casual but not quite as intense or skilled as hardcore. Those days have clearly passed. This puzzler is easy-to-learn, difficult-to-master and comes with a story and lots of challenges to keep you busy for a while. Expect to repeat the same levels dozens of times, though... grinding is the name of the game. No shortcuts here. Overall, Im glad I have the game. Mostly Im just frustrated because Im sick of the hardcore grindfest.

Beware...

Very addictive. First iPhone game Ive ever beaten and Ive bought quite a few. Game says I spent like 48 hours in it. No regrets. ;-)

Perfect minimalist RPG

There is everything a good RPG should have. A team of 4 with a healer a tank and 2 dps, levels, random drops, quests, a little bit of grinding, a little bit of luck, and a lot of skills. All that in a minimalist package perfectly adapted to the touch screen, and perfect for a quick RPG fix.

Unsure

The game seems like it has interesting mechanics, but the English and editing are more awful the further you get. I have no idea what item descriptions are trying to say.

Not for kids!

UPDATE: This is even more bizarre, there seems to be a theme of one of the characters (the healer) being a servant of God, and they make fun of her and make her out to be an idiot. Really? I am not one to believe in conspiracy theories and I dont believe there are legions of evil people trying to trash Christians at every chance, but this is kind of blatant and strange. When you add it up, it is just stupid - they have a kiddie game theme, the main character curses in very inappropriate settings and they have a character who is a "servant of God" who is always the one who they make fun of and treat like she is stupid. What is going on here? It is downright strange. Howard, the captain of the team curses non-stop! It is bizarrely out of place in such a juvenile setting. This is a cutesy match-3 rpg of sorts that is marred by its overly syrupy child-like animations and story-line and then it is filled with curse words that are inappropriate for young children. It is almost shocking because it is so out of place. Weird.

So close

I thought the game was kid friendly until the in-game dialog joke about a female character being on her period. It was tacky and unnecessary. I dont want my boys thinking that is an ok subject for teasing. Now Ive lost my trust in the authors judgement about what belongs in a kids game. The sad part is the dialog author otherwise does a good job of giving each character a distinct personality. Other than that the gameplay is addictive but linear with some difficulty spikes.

Almost a game here!

Pros: No micro-transactions Good game art Music not bad Cons: Gems are not random. Explanation on randomness of gems. If you set up gems in a certain pattern, a corresponding gem type will never, NEVER fall under some situations, they will never fall into a 5 slot you prepared. Due to this, it affects how you set the game up to win, having a strategy based on odds is more difficult without knowing the rules for what can fall where.

Terrible story, average game

The gameplay is fine, pretty standard match-3. Around halfway through the game there is a HUGE wall, normally it took at most 3 tries for me to beat a boss, this level isnt even a boss and Ive tried it over 20 times. Theres not really any replay value of levels youve beat already, so the best way to level is to keep fighting the battle until you level enough to beat it which is annoying. Its also nearly impossible to get anywhere without a random ambush every step of the way, I get it there are monsters around, but it shouldnt take 15 minutes to get to the level Im supposed to be playing. The story though... its horrid, you know exactly whats going to happen, and the dialogue is about as bad as it gets. Period jokes galore, the angry leader who attacks everything on sight, the forgetful girl is also the greedy treasure hoarder, the noble knight, terrible mocking of one character for no real reason (maybe its supposed to be funny). I quit reading the dialogue pretty quickly once I realized it wasnt getting any better.

Good, could use better dialogue

This game has aged fairly well, with graphics that are cute and just fine for a match-3 game. The text was always understandable, but I could tell that a non-English speaker had done the translating. There are a good variety of enemy types to keep things interesting. I am hoping that the upcoming sequel has dialogue strong enough to match its solid match-3 core.

Excellent

Several hours. Both difficulties. Way worth it

Fun!

So glad I found this game. I like turn-based match three like this where you have time to think between moves. Much more relaxing and satisfying to me than other forms of the genre. Also this doesnt drain my battery much at all. Great job, developers!

Parce quand cest bien faut le dire !

Hello, I want just to say ! Thanks. Toi know a game is a pleasure to play without in-app shop. No-Limit in this game. Hes beautiful, interesting. Good work !

Verry good game

Nice game, cool graphics, and good storyline!

Great, but a bit too much grinding

This is without doubt the best match 3 RPG on the app store. The translation isnt perfect and you need to grind in order to be able to beat the bosses. If you dont mind that, this game is perfect for you. No IAPs are really wonderful, no waiting around, no levels you just cant beat. If you die to the boss, you get a choice to try the dungeon again or go somewhere else first to level up or buy items. Made with lots of love, great music, pretty graphics, nice strategy required for the match-3 part. I love it but would like it even more if I didnt have to grind so much.

Mediocre

Pretty game, but to much boring grinding und stupid story. Gets old really fast.
