Played through the entire game. 20 hours. Beat the final boss, got to the end screen (says it is a1, which I assume means act 1) and the app freezes. No idea if there is any end game content. App freezes every time I beat it.

The animations, gameplay, etc are good fun - I had a lot of enjoyment early on with this game. However, the difficulty is completely messed up - you swing from missions that are trivially easy, and then are immediately followed by missions that are auto-fails. In addition, in the middle of the game the new emblems you need to progress cannot be purchased - they are hidden in levels that are almost always too difficult for you to finish. So, you grind the mission, praying that you get lucky enough to get through, and knowning that each time you fail is a complete waste - any items or experience you gained is lost. Final verdict: fun for a while, but ultimately far too frustrating.

Game is fun for 2-3 seconds and it goes downhill the entire time. Once the game progress pass tutorial, its all luck and grinding to level up before you can beat any of the boss or even some of the random battles. I do not recommend this game for gamers who hate grinding and wasting huge amount of time waiting. Sidenote: the game developer has no good sense of humor because the dialogue is so bad, i facepalmed myself for buying this game

If youve played FF3 and games of that nature then youd like this game. Agreed that the dialog is kind of lame but looking past that, the game itself is great.

No ads, no in app fleecing, no "rate me!" Pop ups, just pure puzzle matching time passing. Thanks. Update: its clear that either you should retain main experience from quest battles you lose, or increase the on the road experience received. Grinding on the road is a royal PITA. I dont mind grinding but youre never sure when is a good time to go back and try the boss battle again in, only to lose and waste your time. Update2: The Tower. 1 star. Ive been trying to beat it for a week. WTH. Theres no place to buy upgrades and Ive leveled (SLOWLY) like 6 levels with no hope. When I do make it to the boss everytime Im blessed with like 4 super blocks and I die when his life is at 20%. Unnecessarily difficult. Almost as if its supposed to be impossible to finish and there is no more game after it!

Playing this game feels like playing a love letter to old classic RPGs. I havent stuck with an RPG this long since the SNES. So far I am about 7 hours in. I love it and fully intend to complete the game. But dont expect to blindly match and win, this games forces a certain amount of thought.

It reminds me of Destiny for all the wrong reasons, and it reminds me of Puzzle Quest for all the right reasons. Expect grinding, but fun, match three gameplay

I havent enjoyed playing like this for a while. iOS seems to be all about milking every penny out of the user. This is what games used to be. Pay once and play all you like without shelling out cash or waiting for stupid timers. This was worth the money.

Great game with hours of fun game play but was super challenging to beat. The final castle was almost impossible and took hours of attempts to defeat! The new balancing should hopefully make it easier but Im glad we beat it with the original balance not sure how many people have

I dont like JRPGs, I dont like games that require you to grind through levels and yet I love Hero Emblems. It is a fun Match 3 puzzler that has light RPG elements and a ton of content. Unlike a lot of JRPGs you are not annoyed by too much dialog. It has the right enough to drive the story and nothing else. You do need to grind a bit to work through the levels but not too much. With no IAP, ads or other crap this is perhaps one of the best casual gaming experiences on the App Store.

Play for 2 hours. Reload. Save file lost. Give it another try. Play 7 hours. Reload. Save file lost. Id love to keep playing but I dont want to invest many hours to just have it glitch and lose my save file. Really disappointed as the game itself is very fun but am now too scared to play.

This game sits at the top of its class. Charming graphics, long campaign, upgrades and customizations, many enemy types, it even has boats! The bosses are very hard, you must experiment with different spells and watch carefully to find out what the boss is vulnerable to. If you are a gamer and like match 3 this needs to be on your phone. If you are a casual player ready to graduate to something more satisfying than candy crush, you have found your game. This game made it to my front page. Enjoy -DemoEvolved

Amazing graphics and great story for a little game. This game is a gem that I enjoy playing every day. Very addictive!!

Was looking for a game to play in smartphone format, not so fast pace and without too much buttons pushing. Better than "you must build a boat" because of better graphics and RPG item elements. No need to rush as it allows time to think, or pause.

The first missions are enjoyable enough. Music is catchy. The game is typically challenging, but fair. However, towards the latter "chapters" things start to get really unfair really fast and it gets old.

THIS IS ONE OF THE BEST RPGS EVER

Sometimes frustrating that the blocks you need dont come but overall a excellent game.
